Have you ever taken a trip on an airplane? Well, most of us can say yes to that question. Even if your answer is no, most of us have had to travel somewhere where we packed luggage. I personally know several people who have taken a trip and had their baggage lost. What a horrible feeling!
I was recently asked to do a review for a product placement campaign with ReboundTAG. I was sent one of the ReboundTAG's for review. The idea behind this product is a great one. It is a micro chipped bag tag that attaches easily to your bags. Should your bags be lost during your travels, it is much easier to retrieve your bags using the ReboundTag.
Each ReboundTAG purchased comes with a 3 year membership for unlimited flights. Once the product is received, you simply register it on the website. This ensures that your personal information is safe in their system, rather than visible to the general public. If the airlines should misplace your bags, they can be easily returned to you once found. They simply visit the ReboundTAG website, input your personal barcode number from your tag and an email is sent to you. This lets you know that your bags have been located. The person is also able to give you the location of the bag and numbers to reach them.
I have not personally had a chance to use the ReboundTAG yet. I did however let my sister who visited for Thanksgiving use it to fly home. I am not able to tell you if it worked great or not, because thankfully her bags were not lost. She agreed with me though that it is a great idea for helping with bag relocation. She happens to be one of the people I know that has had luggage lost when flying more than once.
If you have plans to fly this holiday season, you may want to look into the ReboundTAG first.

Thankful Thoughts for the Holidays: Prayer!

Well, I guess this is going to be the last post I do for "Thankful Thoughts" for the Holidays. I am actually very sad to see it go! I wouldn't be surprised if I just randomly post more things I am thankful for at times. So for my last post, I am thankful for prayers. I guess that is why I chose the button I did.
I have learned over my life, that there is one thing I can always count on and that is prayer. I know prayers are what helped my dad through his recent scare with cancer. I know that prayer is why I am still here and alive today. I know that prayer is why a lot of wonderful things have happened in my life. I know that some of you may not believe in prayer, and that is okay. For me, it is more about a belief in something...something that offers you hope. My beliefs may not be the same as yours, but I know you all have something that helps you to get through your hard times too.
During the holidays I pray a lot for the things I am thankful for. I thank God for all the blessings I have in my life. Tonight as I laid my little 2 1/2 year old down for bed, I felt so blessed to have him. He laid in our bed and began to say his prayers. Tonight for the first time, he started to say them without my help. It went something like this:
Dear God, Thanks papa, grandma, mama, daddy, Chy Chy, Blake, Andrew, Addy, Okay mama you start it.
That meant he wanted me to help him. There is nothing as sweet as hearing his little voice as he talks to God. It gives me a peace to know that one day his prayers will be there to help him through his hard times too. I know that he will never be alone as long as he believes. What helps you through your hard times? Is it prayer, God or some other belief? I would love to know what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving. Come share with me.....

Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion Review/Giveaway

I tell you guys all the time how dry my skin gets living in Colorado. Well, now that it is winter, it is getting even worse. I am always on the lookout for amazing products that will combat my dry skin forever. I have found several that I feel do a good job, but none that have ever helped much on my face. It seems as though it is always dry and scaly, especially on my nose and forehead.
I was sent a product to review called Skin MD Natural. Skin MD Natural is a shielding lotion. According to their site, "Shielding lotion is a lotion that forms a protective barrier on the skin and keeps out irritants and chemicals. It also allows the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin so it can heal better. Shielding lotions keep moisture-robbing irritants away from the skin while the proprietary "super" humectants hydrate the skin throughout the day.
I had high expectations for Skin MD Natural. They were probably even set a little too high going in to the review. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed using this lotion on my face and body. What I liked best, was that it was not oily to me AT ALL! It was very light and felt only slightly thicker than water. I was extremely pleased with how easily it was applied and absorbed into my skin. It does a great job of moisturizing without creating a heavy or oily feel. I cannot tell you that all of my dryness has magically disappeared, but it has improved. It is definitely one of the lotions I will continue to use on my face before applying makeup. It is perfect for a primer before applying foundation.
The company was a pleasure to work with as well. I recommend giving them a shot if you are looking for a new skin moisturizer. It is
Dermatology tested
No animal products or testing
Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic
Fragrance and colorant free
Paraben free

Bear Portraits by Jill Greenberg Review

For the past couple of years, we have been seeing more and more sightings of bears in Colorado. It has always been a dream of mine to see a bear in person. I don't mean behind an enclosure at a zoo either. I believe bears are such amazingly beautiful creatures. Unfortunately, I have not been lucky enough yet to run across one.
I was sent a book by Hachette Book Group. It is called Bear Portraits, by Jill Greenberg. Her work is truly beautiful. She captures everything in the portraits that make a bear so majestic! Her portraits make me feel as if I am getting to see a bear up close and personal, without the danger! One of my favorites is of a Polar Bear she photographed. What a beautiful photograph of a beautiful creature. She is definitely gifted at capturing all the different aspects of a bears personality.
This book would make a great gift for a nature or animal lover you may know. It has only a few words throughout the book. Although, this is a book that requires few words; as the pictures speak for themselves. It is also great for displaying on your coffee table for company to see. If you would like to purchase this book, it can be found online at Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble. You can also purchase it in select retail stores. You may find out more about Jill Greenberg on her website www.manipulator.com

Holiday Book Releases by Scholastic Review/Giveaway (2 Winners)

It is only 33 more days until Christmas. Can you believe it? I love everything about the holidays. It is such a beautiful time of the year, everything from the music, the decorations and the overall spirit of the holidays. I was sent two books to review on my site by Scholastic. They are "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" and "The Christmas Magic". These books represent exactly what I love during the holiday season.
The first book, "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" is a classic that has been read by adults and children for hundreds of years. It was written by E.T.A Hoffmann and illustrated by Gail Demarcken. The story is about a young girl who takes fancy to a nutcracker doll. When the clock strikes midnight her toys come to life and she is swept away into an incredible journey. This books illustrations are beautiful! This is the type of book you would leave out at Christmas as a decoration. Actually, both of the books I reviewed are. As for the story, it is long and takes some time to read, so my son was too young to really enjoy it. He did love looking at the pictures though as they truly are amazing. One day, when he is older, he will appreciate this famous story as much as many others do.
The second book, "The Christmas Magic", reminds me of something like "Twas the Night Before Christmas". It's illustrations are also stunning. I actually like them more than the first book. This book helps to bring the MAGIC of Christmas alive for boys and girls of all ages. It is about Santa and the magic that comes every year at Christmastime. "The Christmas Magic" is the type of book that will become a permanent fixture in your home during the Christmas Season. I loved this book, as did my son. As I said earlier, it can be left out for decoration as well. Here is a video trailer of the book "The Christmas Magic".
These books will definitely be a great addition to the other Christmas stories I share with my children. If you would like to add them to your collection as well, then you can enter here to win a set for yourself. Here are the entry methods:
1. Share with me your favorite book to read to your children during the holidays. (1 Entry)

3. Follow me on Twitter (1 Entry)
4. Snag any of my buttons for your site. (2 Entries for each button)
