*CLOSED*Xtrema Cookware Giveaway: Healthier Cooking for your Family

The winner has been chosen for the Skillet: Comment #277 Mel4Him Congratulations!! I hope you love it. Thanks to all you other great ladies who entered. I really appreciate your support!

When it comes to cooking, I have tried just about every cookware out there. Rachael Ray, Emeril, you name it, it has been used in my kitchen. Unfortunately, I haven't found one yet that has ended my search for the perfect cookware.

I have heard of cookware being a lot of things, but GREEN was never one of them. That is until now! Ceramcor has created
Green cookware. According to their site:

A green product must be non-toxic, ecological sound, environment-friendly, free of heavy metals, ozone friendly, and pollution free.

That is exactly what
Xtrema cookware is. Xtrema is a patented ceramic product that is 100% green, environmentally safe and non-toxic. I guess I had never really thought before about what was happening when I cooked my food. I am so glad that it has been brought to my attention that there is a healthier and safer way to cook for my family.

Even if the safety aspect doesn't appeal to you, maybe the ease of cooking with Xtrema cookware will. Xtrema is made from an extremely hard ceramic that can be used in the oven, under the broiler, on the stovetop, in the microwave and the best part, in the dishwasher. The skillet cleans up so easily and is unable to be scratched. When needed, you can use more abrasive cleaners to clean your cookware. I personally have not had to do that yet. Xtrema products are beautifully designed with a high-gloss black finish that looks great in most kitchens.

From my personal use with this skillet, it does a great job of sauteing, browning meats and making gravies. It did not work well for me when making pancakes or eggs. It seemed as though on my stove the outer edges of the pan got hotter than the center. This made the food stick and not easily turned. I will say that the website does mention that using this skillet takes some practice. I believe once I have more of a chance to work with it, I too will become a pro! Even though the items I cooked would stick to the skillet, clean up was always a breeze!

I love the idea of knowing that by cooking with Xtrema cookware I am allowing my family to eat healthier. If you want to learn more about how Xtrema can do the same for your family, visit
http://www.ceramcor.com/. There is so much you can learn by visiting their site. It is worth your time to visit and read more about their products. They are also offering my readers a 15% discount by using code heal15g at checkout.

Would one of you guys like to have the chance at winning your own 10" skillet (ARV $99.99)to use at your home? I thought you might and Xtrema cookware is offering one of you just that. Here are the ways to throw your hat in the ring!

They have a swirl teaware product line that is the first of its kind being sold anywhere in the world. They call it the new product a tea potle which does the job of a tea kettle which boils water and a tea pot which would be used to serve the tea. I'm a tea drinker and this sounds great.

Take care,

I learned that Xtrema is green for many reasons...one of which, their kilns use clean burning and safe natural gas.

Snowflake07 said...

I also learned that Xtrema is a healthy choice to cook with. One reason is, there's no trace metals or chemicals that will leach from the cooking surface and there's no harmful PTFE coatings or PFOA gases to worry about.
