Okay, maybe I'm just too much of a city girl... how the heck do you just end up with a chick in your living room?
I love how your son is going Hand it over! while your daughter is kind of like, Um, I'll smile and pet it, but don't press your luck. Pretty darn cute, Laurie!
*gasp* Where did the baby chick come from? How fun! We had pet baby chicks for a little while when I was little. Then we had to send them off to my Grandpa's farm. We did get to visit them every so often!

Aren't they the cutest? Were they abandoned in your yard? My neighbor had two of them, and their black lab accidentally killed them. I always think of Mice and Men...
