The Mutsy Transporter Stroller Review and Discount Code

Dear Santa,

I have been a very good girl this year. I am writing to see if you plan on visiting me this year? If you do, I have a suggestion of something I would love to see under the tree. You see Santa, I currently own a Maclaren Stroller. As you know, they have been recalled for some sort of problem. I have been researching the web and have found a stroller I really want! It is called the
Mutsy Transporter Stroller.

I realize that I don't have to tell you why it is the stroller I would love for my children. I thought I would share my reasons with my friends though. The
Mutsy Transporter stroller has everything that I need as a mom with young children. One of the most important things I have read is that it is light weight and folds up nice and compact. I know I am building muscles from carrying the babies around, but I don't want to have to pack a heavy stroller. It is also interchangeable. The Transporter can be used in combination with a carry cot, a seat cover, and different car seats. It even has an attachment for my Peg Perego infant car seat.

How about the appearance? I love the design of the
Mutsy Transporter. It is so unique and classy. The stroller seat comes in several different colors including, grey, red, black and sand. It comes with 4 removable wheels. This would come in handy should I need to fit it into a smaller car. The two front wheels swivel for maneuverability or can be locked in place. The handlebar also has 4 positions for moving up or down to my height.

Wait Santa, I am not done. The Mutsy Transporter comes with a great space underneath for carrying all my mommy stuff. You know how I am always needing a place to store the mail when we visit the mailbox. My little boy ends up having to hold it for me right now. The seat on the Mutsy Transporter has a back adjuster too. It would be so nice for when one of the kids falls asleep to be able to recline them. It would make me so happy to know they were comfortable. Did I mention that it has an extra large canopy for keeping the sun out of their eyes?

One last thing Santa. The Mutsy Transporter really is the perfect stroller for me. It comes with lots of extra options that make it exactly what every mom needs. There is a parasol, nursery bag, footmuff and raincover. So you see Santa, I really need this stroller this Christmas. I am sure there are other moms that would love it too. I sure hope I made it to your good list this year.

P.S. I promise to have cookies waiting for you when you visit. Also, please tell your elf thanks for giving me the discount code mhm10 to receive 10% off any order at
http://www.mutsy.com/. I will be sure to pass it along to my friends.

Merry Christmas!!

Travel Plans?? ReboundTag Review

Have you ever taken a trip on an airplane? Well, most of us can say yes to that question. Even if your answer is no, most of us have had to travel somewhere where we packed luggage. I personally know several people who have taken a trip and had their baggage lost. What a horrible feeling!

I was recently asked to do a review for a product placement campaign with ReboundTAG. I was sent one of the ReboundTAG's for review. The idea behind this product is a great one. It is a micro chipped bag tag that attaches easily to your bags. Should your bags be lost during your travels, it is much easier to retrieve your bags using the ReboundTag.

Each ReboundTAG purchased comes with a 3 year membership for unlimited flights. Once the product is received, you simply register it on the website. This ensures that your personal information is safe in their system, rather than visible to the general public. If the airlines should misplace your bags, they can be easily returned to you once found. They simply visit the ReboundTAG website, input your personal barcode number from your tag and an email is sent to you. This lets you know that your bags have been located. The person is also able to give you the location of the bag and numbers to reach them.

I have not personally had a chance to use the ReboundTAG yet. I did however let my sister who visited for Thanksgiving use it to fly home. I am not able to tell you if it worked great or not, because thankfully her bags were not lost. She agreed with me though that it is a great idea for helping with bag relocation. She happens to be one of the people I know that has had luggage lost when flying more than once.

If you have plans to fly this holiday season, you may want to look into the ReboundTAG first.

*I was sent one ReboundTAG for review in a product placement campaign. I received no form of compensation for this review.

Thankful Thoughts for the Holidays: Prayer!

Thankful Thoughts

Well, I guess this is going to be the last post I do for "Thankful Thoughts" for the Holidays. I am actually very sad to see it go! I wouldn't be surprised if I just randomly post more things I am thankful for at times. So for my last post, I am thankful for prayers. I guess that is why I chose the button I did.

I have learned over my life, that there is one thing I can always count on and that is prayer. I know prayers are what helped my dad through his recent scare with cancer. I know that prayer is why I am still here and alive today. I know that prayer is why a lot of wonderful things have happened in my life. I know that some of you may not believe in prayer, and that is okay. For me, it is more about a belief in something...something that offers you hope. My beliefs may not be the same as yours, but I know you all have something that helps you to get through your hard times too.

During the holidays I pray a lot for the things I am thankful for. I thank God for all the blessings I have in my life. Tonight as I laid my little 2 1/2 year old down for bed, I felt so blessed to have him. He laid in our bed and began to say his prayers. Tonight for the first time, he started to say them without my help. It went something like this:

Dear God, Thanks papa, grandma, mama, daddy, Chy Chy, Blake, Andrew, Addy, Okay mama you start it.

That meant he wanted me to help him. There is nothing as sweet as hearing his little voice as he talks to God. It gives me a peace to know that one day his prayers will be there to help him through his hard times too. I know that he will never be alone as long as he believes. What helps you through your hard times? Is it prayer, God or some other belief? I would love to know what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving. Come share with me.....

*CLOSED*Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion Review/Giveaway

* This giveaway is CLOSED. The winner was Rapunzelchick. She has been notified:) CONGRATS!!

I tell you guys all the time how dry my skin gets living in Colorado. Well, now that it is winter, it is getting even worse. I am always on the lookout for amazing products that will combat my dry skin forever. I have found several that I feel do a good job, but none that have ever helped much on my face. It seems as though it is always dry and scaly, especially on my nose and forehead.

I was sent a product to review called
Skin MD Natural. Skin MD Natural is a shielding lotion. According to their site, "Shielding lotion is a lotion that forms a protective barrier on the skin and keeps out irritants and chemicals. It also allows the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin so it can heal better. Shielding lotions keep moisture-robbing irritants away from the skin while the proprietary "super" humectants hydrate the skin throughout the day.

I had high expectations for
Skin MD Natural. They were probably even set a little too high going in to the review. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed using this lotion on my face and body. What I liked best, was that it was not oily to me AT ALL! It was very light and felt only slightly thicker than water. I was extremely pleased with how easily it was applied and absorbed into my skin. It does a great job of moisturizing without creating a heavy or oily feel. I cannot tell you that all of my dryness has magically disappeared, but it has improved. It is definitely one of the lotions I will continue to use on my face before applying makeup. It is perfect for a primer before applying foundation.

The company was a pleasure to work with as well. I recommend giving them a shot if you are looking for a new skin moisturizer. It is
Dermatology tested
No animal products or testing
Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic
Fragrance and colorant free
Paraben free

Bear Portraits by Jill Greenberg Review

For the past couple of years, we have been seeing more and more sightings of bears in Colorado. It has always been a dream of mine to see a bear in person. I don't mean behind an enclosure at a zoo either. I believe bears are such amazingly beautiful creatures. Unfortunately, I have not been lucky enough yet to run across one.

I was sent a book by
Hachette Book Group. It is called Bear Portraits, by Jill Greenberg. Her work is truly beautiful. She captures everything in the portraits that make a bear so majestic! Her portraits make me feel as if I am getting to see a bear up close and personal, without the danger! One of my favorites is of a Polar Bear she photographed. What a beautiful photograph of a beautiful creature. She is definitely gifted at capturing all the different aspects of a bears personality.

This book would make a great gift for a nature or animal lover you may know. It has only a few words throughout the book. Although, this is a book that requires few words; as the pictures speak for themselves. It is also great for displaying on your coffee table for company to see. If you would like to purchase this book, it can be found online at
Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble. You can also purchase it in select retail stores. You may find out more about Jill Greenberg on her website www.manipulator.com

*I was sent one book for review by the Hachette Book Group. I received no other form of compensation for this review.

*CLOSED*Holiday Book Releases by Scholastic Review/Giveaway (2 Winners)

The giveaway has ended: The winner is Alexis AKA MOM! YAY. I hope you love them!

It is only 33 more days until Christmas. Can you believe it? I love everything about the holidays. It is such a beautiful time of the year, everything from the music, the decorations and the overall spirit of the holidays. I was sent two books to review on my site by Scholastic. They are "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" and "The Christmas Magic". These books represent exactly what I love during the holiday season.

The first book, "
The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" is a classic that has been read by adults and children for hundreds of years. It was written by E.T.A Hoffmann and illustrated by Gail Demarcken. The story is about a young girl who takes fancy to a nutcracker doll. When the clock strikes midnight her toys come to life and she is swept away into an incredible journey. This books illustrations are beautiful! This is the type of book you would leave out at Christmas as a decoration. Actually, both of the books I reviewed are. As for the story, it is long and takes some time to read, so my son was too young to really enjoy it. He did love looking at the pictures though as they truly are amazing. One day, when he is older, he will appreciate this famous story as much as many others do.

The second book, "
The Christmas Magic", reminds me of something like "Twas the Night Before Christmas". It's illustrations are also stunning. I actually like them more than the first book. This book helps to bring the MAGIC of Christmas alive for boys and girls of all ages. It is about Santa and the magic that comes every year at Christmastime. "The Christmas Magic" is the type of book that will become a permanent fixture in your home during the Christmas Season. I loved this book, as did my son. As I said earlier, it can be left out for decoration as well. Here is a video trailer of the book "The Christmas Magic".

These books will definitely be a great addition to the other Christmas stories I share with my children. If you would like to add them to your collection as well, then you can enter here to win a set for yourself. Here are the entry methods:

1. Share with me your favorite book to read to your children during the holidays. (1 Entry)

*CLOSED*Garden of Life Products Review/Giveaway

This giveaway is closed. Thanks to all who entered! Yonca #3 comment was the winner :) Congrats I hope you enjoy them!!

Osteoporosis is a very serious reality we all face. Being women, we are especially susceptible to the effects it has on our bones. I actually have a very close friend of mine that suffers from Osteoporosis at the age of 39. She has the bones of a 65 year old woman. I know this is the extreme case, but it does happen.

When I was given the opportunity to learn more about Garden of Life products, I was very interested. They have a product called
Grow Bone that sounded like just what the Dr. ordered for my friend. Grow Bone has been clinically studied to show a(n):

Reduced Risk of Osteoporosis††
Stimulate Bone Growth†
Increase Bone Strength†
Increase Bone Mineral Density

They even back the
Grow Bone with a *double money back guarantee. That is how sure they are that it will help to grow bone back. I was given a bottle for review. It has been sent to my friend. I will keep you posted if we see some improvement.

Garden of Life carries several products that are geared for women. I am a nursing mom and still on Prenatal vitamins. They carry a product called Vitamin Code, it is a Raw Prenatal. I have been using it since it was sent to me. After taking this product, I have felt as good as when I take my prescription prenatal. The only drawback I have found is that I have to take 3 capsules to get the same benefit. I don't like having to take that many pills when I normally take just one. Here is what they say on their site about why their
Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal should be what you choose:

With Vitamin Code RAW Prenatal, you can rest assured that our vitamins are uncooked, untreated and unadulterated, with no binders or fillers, no soy allergens and always vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free. These factors alone should make Vitamin Code RAW Prenatal your multivitamin of choice.

If you would like to find out where to purchase either of these products or the other products that Garden of Life offers, visit their
site here. I was also given the ability to offer one of my readers a bottle of the same prenatal vitamins I was given to review. If you would like a chance to win, here are the ways to enter:

1. Follow
Garden Of Life on Twitter. (1 Entry)

2. Become a

Thankful Thoughts for the Holidays: Forgiveness & Acceptance of Others!

Thankful Thoughts

How many times in your life have you had to say "I'm sorry"? Of course, that is a rhetorical question! If you are anything like me, then it is more times than you would like to remember. Today's "Thankful Thoughts" is for forgiveness and acceptance of others.

I am talking about forgiveness that you ask for and forgiveness that you give as well. Either way, it is a beautiful thing. I am so thankful for people that are loving and accepting. There is no safer place to be than with someone that makes you feel loved for exactly who you are. I certainly know that I am not perfect, far from it actually. So, who am I to judge another person for mistakes they make in their life. Sure, there may be times that people hurt me and I prefer to stay mad and angry, but why?? Isn't it easier to allow for mistakes?

I know the best relationships that I have in my life are the ones that allow for me to be human. Being human means making mistakes and having to say "I am sorry." It also means that to be a good friend I have to be willing to accept those apologies too. Relationships are not easy! It doesn't matter if you are talking about a marriage, parents and children, siblings or just friends. So I am thankful for people that embrace and accept people's differences. I am thankful for people who actually want other people to succeed, rather than seeing that as a threat on their own success. I am mostly thankful for the people that help me to want to become that better person.

Remember these two things today:

*Sometimes the most unloving and unaccepting people need love and acceptance the most.
*Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself, it's not an act condoning what happened to you.

Have a great day guys and know today that you are appreciated:)

*CLOSED*Unilever Beauty Tips Review/Giveaway ($30 in Products)

CONGRATS TO COMMENT #54 YONCA. I HOPE YOU ENJOY!!! THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED. I APPRECIATE IT!!

I don't know if you guys have been noticing all the Beauty Tips Widgets on people's sites, but if not then you should be checking them out. I have one posted at the bottom of my site. It has really good tips that help to keep you looking and feeling beautiful. The products that they use are items that you may already be using around your house.

Unilever has so many wonderful products they offer such as Vaseline, Dove, Q-tips and Pond's to name a few. I was sent a sample box that included products from all these brands. They are all used in the Beauty Tips Widget. It has been really fun trying out all the suggestions they have offered me. I personally love the Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes. I am constantly trying to make time to wash my face in the evenings before bed. Unfortunately, my little girl likes to sleep on my lap. This means I don't get the chance very often. Since trying these towelettes, I keep them in my nightstand drawer. Once I lay her down, I pull one out and in minutes my face is clean! Perfect for the mom like me.

I also love the new Q-tips Vanity pack. It is like it has its own little drawer. They are fashionable and now I can leave them out on my countertop. I use them everyday to apply Vaseline onto my lips. Quick and easy! Make sure before you leave my site to check out the Beauty Tips Widget. You just might find something that works for you.

I am also offering one of my readers a beauty box from Unilever just like I received. It will have several products from Unilever that total approx. $30! I am sure these would make great stocking stuffers for you or someone you know! Here are the ways to enter:

Chocolate: A Love Story Review..Guaranteed to Make you Hungry!

Sometimes a book is just a book, and other times it is something more. This book I was given to review is definitely something more. It is called CHOCOLATE: A LOVE STORY. This book was written by
Max Brenner with artwork by Yonatan Factor. It is a compilation of 65 chocolate dessert recipes from Max Brenner's private collection. Are you getting hungry just hearing the word chocolate? Well, wait until I tease you with a few of the recipe names.

First, there is Veg-out chocolate cornflake TV wraps. This includes ingredients like crepes, sweetened cornflakes, bananas and chocolate-hazelnut spread. My tummy is growling just reading the recipe.
How about Lipstick banana chocolate cake bonbons? Sound exotic? Well, you should see the picture. It has sour cream, bananas, white chocolate and aged brown rum. I really need to stop before I head to the kitchen to whip one of these up!
Okay, for the last teaser we have, A therapeutic chocolate pot pie. Let me just tell you, if it tastes anything like the picture looks, then it will be the best pot pie I ever ate. It has the dough, a nut crumble and a cheese and white chocolate cream filling with strawberries. Alright, put a fork in me, I'm done.

The recipes are not the only great thing about this book. It is an absolutely beautiful book as well. It would make for a great book to leave out for looks and just to make people's mouth water. I can't wait to dive into making some of these recipes. According to the book, "It is so simple, you just need to really love chocolate"...and I do!

Thank you to
Hachette Book Group for sharing a copy of this wonderful book with me for review. I was given no other compensation and the opinions expressed in this review are mine!

Purple Pig Shirts Review..Soft and Comfortable

Yoga is such a popular form of exercise these days. I have personally only taken one yoga class in my life, but I am sure many of you do it on a regular basis. I hear it does wonderful things for your body. The makers of Crazy Dog T-Shirts have jumped on board the exercise train and have started selling yoga shirts on their new site Purple Pig Shirts. Now I am not sure why they chose that name, but despite that, I really like the shirts. It's just if I am going to wear a form fitting shirt, I don't want the word pig in my head at all. LOL

I was sent the Peace, Love, Clarity shirt for review. I am not used to wearing form fitting shirts, but I loved the softness of it and the length. The quality of the shirt itself was great as well. I am all about comfort in my house. In this shirt, I was just that...Comfortable.

Purple Pig Shirts has short and long sleeved shirts for women. They also offer a couple of shirts to take care of the men in our lives. They are all made of the softest, preshrunk cotton. Remember, because of the tight fit, you may consider going a size larger. Despite the fact that they are called Yoga shirts, they can be worn during any type of exercise or even just for lounging around the house.

Be sure to check out their current sale for the holidays. Buy 3 shirts and get 20% off of your order.

*I received one shirt for this review. I was given no other compensation for this review. The opinions are from my experience with the shirt I received.

Noah Biorkman...Merry Christmas Little One!!

I am passing on my "Thankful Thoughts" post today. I wanted to instead tell you guys about a little boy by the name of Noah Biorkman. I am sure many of you have already heard of him, but there may be some of you that would like to know of him. My little sister is actually the one that passed his information along to me.

Noah Biorkman is a 5 yr old little boy who is terminally ill with neuroblastoma cancer. He has been fighting cancer since he was 3 yrs old, but now is unlikely to make it to Christmas. As I read the story of Noah, I burst into tears. My worst nightmare as a parent is losing one of my precious children. For this family, this is now rapidly becoming a reality. What can you say or do to lessen the pain of what that family is about to experience?

Well, for little Noah's family, they are asking for Christmas cards. This little boy that is in hospice is celebrating Christmas this weekend because he loves it so much. That alone is enough to break your heart. In the article that I read on the Detroit Local News, he said of the things he has received, an angel figurine ornament was his favorite because it reminded him of where he’ll soon be. "In heaven, and I'm going to be an angel, he said. In my mind he already is an angel!

If you want to help make this little guys last Christmas as AMAZING as it can be, you can send him a card to this address.

Noah Biorkman
1141 Fountain View Circle
South Lyon, MI, 48178

http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/21522646/detail.html

The family is asking for no gifts. If you want to send anything, send $1 which they will donate to their local "Make a Wish" Chapter and the University Of Michigan neuroblastoma research center. This is just one more way we can offer HOPE for a CURE to another child that may suffer from this horrible disease one day.

Remember Noah, everytime a bell rings, an angel gets his wings. May you soar with the angels!!

Thankful Thoughts for the Holidays: Smiles

Thankful Thoughts

First, I want to make sure that if you know of a soldier that would enjoy receiving a care package this holiday season, please visit this post and let me know.

You know, I am really enjoying writing one of these posts a day. I like that I have to take the time to be thankful for something. Sometimes it is so easy to get wrapped up in the negative and forget to look for even the smallest thing to be glad for.

Today's "Thankful Thoughts" goes to first smiles! The picture happens to be of my little girl doing the funniest little smile, but it melts my heart. She does this face now everytime I pick up the camera. It is things like this that I am thankful for. I remember the first time my little boy started smiling and the warm, fuzzy feeling I got.

How about the first time you met your husband/significant other and he smiled at you. There is nothing like getting the butterflies in your tummy because you are so in love or lust! LOL. Wouldn't it be nice to go back to that moment everytime you looked at each other.

I love the smile of a stranger, saying hello. The smile of an old friend that comforts you in some way. There is just something so nice about a warm, inviting smile to make your day. Today while you are out and about or even at home, remember to smile. It will not only make your day better, but someone else's too. Make the world a nicer place, SMILE!!

If you don't feel like smiling, just come back and look at this picture again. That look is too goofy not to make you laugh!! :)

Little Music Lovers Review..Music for Everyone.

I love music for children. It is so much fun to watch as they listen, dance and enjoy the sounds. I recently sampled a new children's CD Series called "Little Music Lovers". My son loved it because it reminded him of Little Einsteins and Rocket.

Little Music Lovers contains the music from such famous composers as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. It is very relaxing and enjoyable to listen to, as a child or as an adult. Many researchers believe that this type of music aids in learning skills for babies and toddlers. It is also believed to help with early language development.

The CD's come in four different discs. I was given a sample of one song from each of the four albums. They are:

  • Smart Music for Activity Time

  • Smart Music for Story Time

  • Smart Music for Bed Time

  • Smart Music for Play Time

I am usually not a person who enjoys this type of music, but I actually found it very enjoyable for some reason. The music was very comforting. You can find the new CD Series at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders and several other retailers. For more information on this CD Series, visit http://www.littlemusiclovers.com/.

*I was sent the one sampler CD for this review by Role Mommy. I received no other compensation.
