Happy Halloween!! BOO

Fun Halloween Pictures

Michael Buble "Crazy Love" Review

Michael Buble's "Crazy Love" is just CRAZY good!! It has been 2 1/2 years since his last CD, "Call Me Irresponsible" and I can tell you it has been worth the wait. I have other CD's by Michael and they are good, but I really LOVE this CD.

Cry Me A River is special to me and Michael does a great job with it. He has a couple of new songs on this cd (written by Michael, with Amy Foster and Alan Chang), Haven't Met You Yet and Hold On, which I like a lot! You have probably been listening to "Haven't Met You Yet" on the radio already. A very good rendition of Baby (you've got what it takes), sung with Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings). The title song "Crazy Love" is the song Van Morrison made famous in the "70's.

Michael was quoted on the recording process for "Crazy Love", "I started this record knowing I was going to record it differently than my previous ones. I dug way deeper and was more introspective on this one. Basically, I sang the truth - made each song autobiographical - and you can definitely hear the difference. I went back to the way my idols made their records. I wanted an organic feel - so people could feel like they were in the studio with me. The musicians and I all sat in the room, recorded it right from the floor and we let the sounds all come together and bleed into one another. It's not contrived. Not too perfect. "It just feels really good," and I cannot agree more.

If you are a Buble fan this is must have!

****CLOSED*****Softlips Limited Edition Winter Flavors Giveaway...

During the winter months, I constantly fight the battle of dry, chapped lips. Afterall, living in Colorado takes a toll on all your skin. Unfortunately, I am very picky about my lip products. I don't like anything that is sticky, gummy or doesn't glide on my lips nicely. Hey, that's not asking for too much, right??

Apparently it isn't, because Softlips has created a product that does everything I am looking for. It glides on my lips without tugging or pulling. It adds a subtle amount of shine and most importantly, makes my lips soft and smooth. For an extra added bonus, they have some amazing flavors. They have actually created several that are available especially for the holidays season.

Softlips Limited Edition Winter flavors come in Winter Mint, Sugar Cookie, Sugar & Spice and Sugar Plum Berry. If you think they sound yummy, well they are! The smell is very light, but just enough to make you think of the holidays. They also have SPF 20 to protect your lips from sun exposure.

A couple of the other things I love about Softlips, are the price and size. You can find Softlips at just about any retailer you visit. The suggested retail price is $2.79 for one or $3.99 for the value pack which includes two Softlip sticks. That is a great price for a great product. The size is perfect for anyone, whether you are male or female. It fits perfectly in your pocket or purse so you can take it with you wherever you go.

The Limited Edition Winter flavors would make a perfect stocking stuffer. You can also use them on top of Christmas presents as a little something extra. Earth Baby...Organic Goodness from Mother Earth Review

CONGRATS TO OUR NEWEST WINNERS!!! They are:
GabbyLowe-comment #212 for the Wrinkle Reversing Serum
Clarissa-comment #60 Sabra products and $25 Gift Card
Thanks to all you awesome ladies who enter to make these giveaways successful! Good luck to all of you who enter.

I love babies! I love everything about babies...especially their smell. Okay, at least most of the time. There is nothing nicer than getting your baby out of a bath and slathering yummy smelling lotion on them. They not only smell nice and clean to us, but they also enjoy getting the massage.

I recently tried a product I had never heard of. It is called
Earth Baby, Organic Goodness from Mother Earth. I was sent two different products by Earth Baby. I received Cuddle Soft Baby Lotion and Mommy 'N Me Refreshing Mist. In all honesty, I can't tell you guys one thing I don't love about these two products. To start, I think the packaging is just precious. The company supports the Tarsier Monkey Foundation, so they have the sweetest picture of one on their bottles.

I love the smell of their products. I can't describe the smell, but it is just YUMMY. To tell you the truth, I probably used as much on me as I did on my little ones. It was just such a nice and refreshing smell. Hey, the one product was called Mommy 'N Me. Doesn't that mean it is for me too?? It is not the normal smell you would think of for a baby product. IT'S BETTER.

Earth Baby uses a technology that is used only by them. They are the first organic company to develop a line of baby products using the best and most advanced technology in the baby product category. It is called
OleoSphere Technology. I will not even try to explain it to you, because I don't quite understand it myself. All I can say is it must work, because mine and my kids skin feels so nice after using it. Earth Baby products involve the purest and most active extracts of specific fruits and vegetables like carrots, strawberries, mango, kiwi and pumpkin. Maybe that is why it smells so good. It sounds good enough to eat, though I am not recommending that. (Do not try this at home! heehee)

I don't know if I have convinced you to try these products yet? If I could somehow attach a scratch and sniff sticker to the screen, I wouldn't need to. It would sell itself. If you are searching for a new organic product with:
•95% Natural Derived ingredients
•90% Certified Organic ingredients
•Hypoallergenic
•Clinically tested by dermatologists and pediatricians
•Free of parabens and phthalates
•No animal by-products and no animal testing

Then look no further! They have Organic Baby Bath Time products, Organic After Baby Bath Time products and Organic Outings with Mom. Grab some now!!

Fun Pre-Halloween Weekend! Ready for the REAL THING!

I know I have posted a lot today, but I am trying to get all caught up. Guess what, it isn't working! LOL

I wanted you guys to see what my family was up to this weekend. It was so nice to have a fun weekend with the family. We did something together on Saturday and Sunday. My dad still had to take it easy, but otherwise all was good.
Saturday night my sister threw a Halloween party for her 6 year old and his friends. I got to play a really cool role as the fortune teller. I talked with all the kids parents before they came back so I could have very secret knowledge on each of them. They were amazed at how I knew all their deep dark secrets. Okay, they were 6 so maybe the secrets weren't that deep and dark quite yet. It was a great party though, as my sister does nothing halfway. GREAT JOB Sis!

On Sunday, my mom and dad and my family went to the pumpkin patch. Can I just tell you guys, it was COLD! It was snowing huge snowflakes and all the pumpkins in the patch were frozen and NASTY. We ended up leaving with NO pumpkin, but some really cute pics. I love weekends where you get to make great memories. This was one of them. Oh, my little nephew won the game medal in flag football today too! Way to go Buddy!!

When did you have your last fun weekend??? I would love to hear about it!! Hope you enjoyed my pictures!

*CLOSED*Orbit White and Be Bright Bubblemint Giveaway!

My little boy has just learned to chew gum, so he was quite excited to have me review Orbit White Gum. Orbit White has been a favorite of mine for a while now. I love their Bubblemint flavor. It has that great traditional bubblegum flavor with just a hint of mint. Of course, it is still sugarfree! Unlike other bubble gums, Orbit's flavor lasts a long time. I can chew the same piece of gum for hours on end without losing the flavor. Orbit White has joined forces with Bright Pink to help "Support the Fight Against Breast Cancer."

During the months of September and October, Wrigley will donate 10% or up to a maximum of $75,000 of Orbit White Bubblemint and Orbit Bubblemint sales to Bright Pink. Just one more great reason to chew away!! Look for the Orbit Big-E-Paks featuring the Bright Pink packaging. If you are not familiar with Bright Pink then let me tell you a little bit about them.

Bright Pink is the only national nonprofit with an exclusive focus on breast and ovarian cancer prevention and early detection in high risk young women. This is such a great cause, as we all unfortunately probably know someone battling with breast or ovarian cancer. Being a mom of two young ones and running on little sleep, I can sometimes become pretty forgetful. Bright Pink has a great program for helping to remind women to do monthly breast exams. Self breast exams are a HUGE part of early detection in breast cancer. It is a very important part of caring for yourself. The program is called "Underwire Alerts". All you do is text the word PINK to 59227 and they will send you a monthly reminder to "Bond with your Breasts". Standard text charges apply.

The next time you are out and about, make sure to pick up your Bright Pink Orbit Big-E-Pak of Bubblemint gum. In the meantime, enter to win two of them here along with the Bright Pink
“Little Bright Book,” a guide to breast and ovarian cancer risk and how to be proactive with your health. Here are the ways to enter.

1. Follow my blog (1 Entry)

2. Vote for me on Divine Caroline. The button is on my left sidebar. I would REALLY appreciate this. (3 Entries)

Help Unlock a CURE! Master Lock Gone "Pink" Review

At this point there shouldn't be anyone that isn't aware this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It has been amazing to see the way everyone has helped to raise money and awareness about such a great cause. Wouldn't it be incredible to one day find a CURE!

I know that especially during these tough economic times, it can be hard to find extra money to donate for any cause. That is why I love when I can find a product I already use to purchase that supports Breast Cancer Research.
Master Lock is one of those products.

Master Lock has designed a series of pink locking products. Each of the locks comes in pink and sports the Pink Awareness Ribbon. They are something that everyone can use and they help to remind us to continue to fight for a CURE. Master Lock is not only creating amazing locks for us as consumers, but they also personally donated $15,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Now that is the type of company I want to support.

You can find the pink locks in styles to protect your lockers, bikes, luggage and backpacks. The locker style padlock even comes with its own awesome matching pink key. They range in price from $4.99 to $15.99.
Master Lock is the world's largest manufacturer of padlocks and related security products. They can be found at select retailers nationwide and on Amazon.com.

*CLOSED*Dismantled Book Giveaway...Your Halloween Read!!

Hats off to Jennifer McMahon!! "Dismantled" is a book that I never would have purchased or checked out from the library. Thanks Clueless Mama and Harper/Collins Publishing for helping me to branch out of my comfort zone once again to read a really GREAT book! This book will keep you on edge and as this blog is called, "Guessing all the Way". You never know what is going to happen next.

I would have to rate the book "R" for language. I do not use language like this and I really do not like to watch a movie with a lot of language. However, I can kind of skim over it in a book. In the case of this book, the language was real, not just stuck in there just to be there. The characters in this book would have talked this way.

The characters Henry, Tess, Winnie, and Suz banded together in college to form a group they called the Compassionate Dismantlers. Their theory was "To understand the nature of a thing, it must be taken apart". If you like a chiller or even if you don't, this book is a must for you. Very suspenseful, but ends with good closure. I like that! I have already passed this book on to my brother to enjoy. Do not read at night if you are a scaredy cat!!!

Looking for a great read for Halloween?? Well this is it!! I have 3 copies to offer to my readers. If you would like the chance to win, just leave me a comment below. Don't forget to leave the light on while you read.

This giveaway will be short so you can get your copy close to Halloween. Giveaway ends on Oct. 30th at midnight. Winners will be notified by email.
* I received one book for this review. This review was written by my mother.

Once in a Blue Moon Book Review

Once in a Blue Moon, by Eileen Goudge, publisher Vanguard Press

Eileen Goudge has written at least 13 novels and I cannot believe that I have never read one of them. This is such a sweet book, about sisters and family and life's circumstances that are not perfect. Is it ever perfect?

I believe that there are two heroines in this book, Lindsay Margaret McAllister and Kerrie Ann McAllister. Sisters who were separated when Lindsay was 12 and Kerrie Ann was 3, because their mother was not fit to take care of them. Children's Services stepped in and removed them from their home. However, Children's Services were not able to place them in the same foster home. Years later, the two sisters are reunited. Even though they were all each other had in their early years, the act of being reunited was not an event either sister was sure they wanted.

Lindsay had spent years looking for her younger sister, but Kerrie Ann found Lindsay purely for selfish reasons. Kerrie Ann was no longer the sweet little three year old girl that Lindsay had looked after for the three years before Children's Services took her away. Lindsay was not sure that having Kerrie Ann back in her life was going to work. She felt their paths had been too different and was not sure they could be meshed together again. Many extenuating situations take place and well, I don't want to ruin it for you. Guess you will just have to read it yourself to find out what happens.

What a great read! After you read this, you will add Eileen Goudge's other books to your must read book list. I know that I have! If this review has not convinced you that you should purchase this book, go to the books website and read an excerpt from Chapter One, you will then be hooked and need more, http://www.onceinabluemoonbook.com/

If you want to stay connected with information about Eileen Goudge, here is what you need:

Eileen's Website, Facebook Page and Twitter.

*A special thanks to One2One Network for sending me this book for review. Also, thanks to my mom for reviewing it for you guys. Doesn't she do an AWESOME job!!

*CLOSED*Blanky4me.com Review and $50 Gift Certificate Giveaway!

BADGER MOMMA Come on down....You are the WINNER of the Lashfood Giveaway! CONGRATS!!

When the weather turns cold outside, what feels better than snuggling on the couch with a nice warm blanky?? I know it is one of my favorite things, so why would I think my kids wouldn't love it too? I was given the chance to review a blanket from Blanky4me.com. They make blankys for babies, kids and adults. I chose to review a beautiful little blanky for me my baby girl.

I received the blanky and it was amazing! It was a waffle pattern, one side was pink and the other purple. My daughter's name was personalized on it with girly little flowers above it. The quality was much more impressive than I could ever had imagined. It even had awesome, colorful loops at the bottom made out of ribbon. My daughter loves to chew on those. The size was just right for her to snuggle down into. I actually think my little boy was a little jealous. He has always been one that loved to be wrapped in a blanket on the couch. I have washed this blanky and it looks just as good as it did before it was washed. That is always an important test for me. No shrinkage and no fuzzy balls, at least not yet!

I have been to Blanky4me.com's website and I have to tell you, the pictures don't do this blanket justice. It is much more beautiful in person and ohhh so soft! I am actually borrowing it right now to wrap myself up in. My daughter doesn't mind, because she is in bed :) These blankets are being added to my Holiday gift giving guide. They even have an amazing Lay a Way plan that you can use before ordering your blanky. They call it Lay-by. How great is that? You can pick out the blanket you want and pay it out over 13 weeks. Of course, if you are wanting this for a really fun Holiday gift, you need to place your order by November 30th.

Blanky4me.com is offering free shipping on all personalized blankets until November 15th. You can not go wrong with these beautiful blankets. I Can't Say "Thank You" Enough! Daddy Update....

I couldn't go without saying a very special "Thank You" to all the amazing women who visit my blog. On Monday, I posted about my father having surgery for Prostate Cancer. Sometimes it is hard for me to believe that people that don't even know you can be so loving and warm.

As I sat in the waiting room of the hospital, I read the comments coming in on my iPhone. They helped to comfort me so much during I time when I really needed it. I appreciated each and every one of you that took the time to share your thoughts and stories with me. It is amazing to read how CANCER has touched so many of our lives. I know your prayers were at work for my dad, for that you will always be dear to me.

I am someone that doesn't put myself out there often to people. I have found in my past that people can be mean and sometimes pretty hurtful. You guys are helping to show me that not all people are that way. I love reading your blogs and realizing that while we have never met, we are so much alike. It may be good times, bad times or sad times, but we experience so much of the same things as daughters, mothers and sisters. I am learning that this group of women are amazing. Though I will probably never meet most of you in person, I want you to know you each touch my life in some way through your blogs. Thank you so much for your kindness and for sharing about yourself through your stories.

As far as my daddy goes, he is doing very well!! The surgeon gave us great hope that the pathology reports will come back clean. That is the best news we could hope for. He actually got to come home today and is resting comfortably. Well, except for the occasional dog that might try to jump on his tummy. Hey, they missed their daddy too! I know that everyone that sent a prayer up for him has something to do with his AWESOME outcome. THANK YOU!! As I said before, my family are my life. I appreciate you caring enough about me, to care for my dad too.

Okay ladies, here is another great review by my one and only MAMA! Enjoy and don't forget to enter to win :)

Review of Mortal Friends, by Jane Stanton Hitchcock, released June 2009 by HarperCollins Publishers

This book is a true "WhoDunIt"!! This story line is very good and if you guess who did it before the last few chapters, then you are better than I am. Reven ("never" spelled backwards, because her parents never thought they would have a child) Lynch is the heroine in this book, but trust me she struggled to get it all figured out too! This book is set in Washington D. C., and is full of rich and powerful people. Some who they seem to be and some not... We start off with the victim of the "Beltway Basher" found in the woods of Montrose Park which happens to be Reven's favorite jogging spot. The victim as described by Violet: "Her head was "split open like a ripe melon oozing pulp", and her bare buttocks were peeking out from a pile of rotting leaves, "like a pair of moons." Violet, who is Reven's best friend for the last twenty years, is a serial killer fanatic, she knows as much as the police most of the time!

Through this book you will attend magnificent balls, so lavish, I really struggled to bring them to life. I will never see the likes in my lifetime, but I am sure as this book points out, our congressmen, lobbyists, and the wealthiest of the wealthiest attend these all time. This book is about high society, politics and glamorous people and I really enjoyed and became part of this community before the book was over.

Great suspenseful read and I second guessed myself throughout trying to figure out what was going on.
The author, Jane Stanton Hitchcock lives in New York City and Washington, D. C. She may have attended some of the exquisite nightlife described in this book, which would explain why she can describe them so well that they become real to you. Jane Stanton Hitchcock has several other New York Times bestselling novels, The Witches' Hammer, Trick of the Eve, Social Crimes, and One Dangerous Lady. I WILL be putting them on my list to read.

If you would like to win a copy for yourself, you can try your luck at it here. I am offering 1 copy to 3 of my readers.

Want to enter?? Easy, just leave me a comment here. Make sure you leave a way for me to contact you.

If you want a second entry, just follow my blog on google and let me know.

Good luck!

This giveaway will end on Oct. 31st at midnight. I will notify the winners by email.
* I was given one copy of the book for review. I was not compensated in any other way.

*CLOSED*The Shandle Giveaway..Training for Our Boys, Made Easy!

It sometimes amazes me how the smallest, simplest product can really work. I was offered to review something called the Shandle. I had never even heard of this product until they contacted me for the review. When I received the product in the mail, I kind of laughed. It was just this small piece of plastic that you are suppose to adhere to the underside of your toilet seat. It had a cute little bear dressed as a frog on it that reminds kids to wash their hands. What the heck, I thought I would give it a try!

The idea behind the
Shandle is to teach kids proper hand washing habits. It also keeps kids or adults hands for that matter off of the toilet seat. YUCKY!! By using the Shandle, you create a cleaner environment in your bathroom. The Shandle is made from an antimicrobial treated plastic. It prevents bacteria from growing on its surface. You can clean the product whenever you clean your bathroom.

I didn't want to make a video of my son actually using the potty, but we were able to demonstrate how the Shandle works. Here is my son in his first public video debut.

There are several different designs to choose from. They have robots, monsters, animals and decorative for those of you who prefer a nicer (no kid) look. They are all priced at $6.99 which includes shipping. They even offer a money back guarantee. This product did exactly what it said it would. It not only trained my son to lift the seat, but my husband as well. Now there is a SUCCESS STORY!

If you want to try for a success story of your own, then I have some good news. I will be offering 5 of my readers their own Shandle. Whether you have boys, a husband or just occasional male company this is a product you can use.

Here is what you can do to enter:

1. Follow my blog (1 Entry)

2. Follow
@The_Shandle on twitter (1 Entry)

3. Tell me who needs the Shandle in your home? (1 Entry)

4. Follow me on
twitter (1 Entry)

5. Tweet this giveaway (1 Entry)
Enter to win 1 of 5 Shandles being given away @clueless_mama. http://bit.ly/Jp3cT #giveaway

7. Place my button on your site (2 Entries)

Joshua Bell, "At Home with Friends" Review

This review was written by my mother :) Thanks MOM!

I have to say up front that I LOVE music! I love pretty much all genres of music. I just figure out what I am in the mood for from one day to the next and that is what I listen to. I listen to them all, big bands, pop/rock, country, present day and there are even a few rap songs I like. Gotta keep up with my kids! Now that I have said that, I will say Joshua Bell's "At Home with Friends" is not for everyone.

Joshua is an amazingly accomplished violinist and I really loved listening to this CD. A couple of my favorites are, I Loves You Porgy featuring Chris Botti, Cinema Paradiso featuring Josh Groban, and I'll Take Manhattan featuring Marvin Hamlisch. I can see me playing this CD as background dinner music, sitting in front of a fireplace with a glass of wine or watching the snow fall. I love the sweet sounds of the violin and other instruments. If you are not someone who can sit back and relax to beautiful instrumentals, this CD is not for you. But if you want to try something new, give this CD a shot! It is a great one to start with!

NO MORE CANCER!!

Today I have my own reasons for saying NO to CANCER! My dad is having surgery this morning to remove prostate cancer. If you guys have read my blog for long, then you know the most important people in my life are my family, especially my mom and dad!!

I have met some amazing people through blogging, many I know love God and believe in prayer just like me. If you are reading this, I would love if you would take just a minute to say a quick prayer for my dad during this time. We are hoping for the best possible outcome, which would be NO MORE CANCER after today.

If you had ever had the pleasure of meeting my dad, you would love him just like me. He is a person that has never met a stranger and helps anyone and everyone he can. He is a huge part of who his family is and we all worship the ground he walks on. Please just keep him in your thoughts today even if you are not someone who believes in prayer. I really appreciate it and I will let you know how he is doing once we know. Thanks to all you guys.
