Thankful Thoughts for the Holiday: Trying Something New

Thankful Thoughts

If you like, join in for Thankful Thoughts for the Holidays and write posts that talk about what you are thankful for this holiday season. If you do, just write your post, grab the button and link back here. You can do it once, twice or as often as you have something to be thankful for. If you don't want to link up, then you are welcome to just come and visit me.

I wanted to post a few pictures of how I spent my afternoon today. If you knew me, then you would know this was a big leap for me. I have always been the one at the amusement park that held the purses while everyone else rode the ride. I am the one that doesn't even like the Merry Go Round because it goes too fast! Okay, maybe that is a small exaggeration, but not by much.

Today I went indoor skydiving! It was so fun and exciting. So, today I am thankful for taking chances at doing something new. I stepped out of my comfort zone and into a chamber of 100 plus mile an hour winds. It felt good to put my fear aside and just do it. Now, I am not saying I will be jumping out of any real planes anytime soon, more like NEVER, but today I was proud of myself.

When was the last time you took a chance at doing something new? I would love to hear about it. Make sure you link up with your post:)

Wow my dear I've always wanted to do the real thing but too scared this might be the best option. What a awesome mom you are! Loving it!

The indoor skydiving looks so fun. You are so lucky you got to do that. Yay for going out of your comfort zone!

I also like your linky idea. Would it count if I said I'm trying memes at my blog all this week as something new?

Wow! girl, how cool it is! I stopped writing and still looking at your pictures :)
I also loved your idea.
I wasn't able to swim. I joined an adult class 4 years ago and love it! Did I say 4 years? See, new things are not happening so often. Can we count if I try a new recipe:) Hehe just kidding!
I'll try! Hugs!

How fun! I'm the opposite. I love roller coasters and want to sky dive some day! Although, now that I have kids I probably never will.

Fun! If you're going to skydive, THAT'S the way to do it!
I'm afraid I am not a big fan of trying new things. My husband is thankful when I let us try a new restaurant!

Oh wow! I have wanted to try that indoor skydiving for a long time now...SO AWESOME!! You are such a fun and exciting person. :)

PS I can't remember if I told you where we got the BOMB cake. It was from a little local cake shop in our town called The Cake Cottage.

I wanted to go skydiving until I saw Vicki do it on The Real Housewives of Orange County last week. She made me terrified. But, now you've showed me that I can do it in a way that won't completely freak me out. I'm gonna!!!

Awesome!!!

Great idea on the Thankful Thoughts too. The world needs more positivity these days.

Thanks for my very first comment, and thanks for letting me know the comments weren't working. It seems so silly now.
