I know most people are not cat lovers. I personally happen to think they are very funny little creatures. Growing up we always had cats. Of course, that is not saying much, since we also had just about every other pet known to man including a pet raccoon. The Hachette Book Group allowed me to review a new book called, Simon's Cat by Simon Tofield.
Simon's Cat is a very comical little book about a cat who is mischievous like most cats. They have such fun and entertaining personalities and this book captures that perfectly. If you have ever been around a cat, then you will connect with Simon's book about his cat. It is a perfect book for leaving lying around for a quick laugh.
The book is written in pictures in black in white. It is like reading a comic strip. If you are a mom and you probably are, this is a perfect book for you. No words just pictures, so it is an easy read. Even I got to review this one instead of my mom. My parents did recently get a new kitten and I have to say their kitty reminds me a lot of Simon's Cat! Just like the back of the book says, "Everybody knows a cat like Simon's".
If you would like the opportunity to win your own copy of Simon's Cat, now is your chance. I have 5 copies to giveaway to you guys. If you would like a copy, please leave me a comment here. This giveaway is only open to US and Canada. SORRY GUYS!

Yes! I would love this. :) That cat is sooo like mine...lol.
So, a cat story.
When I was still living at home (the first time, lol), my cat would come in and wake me up to feed her or let her out or turn on the bathroom sink so she could drink the water. (She's SO spoiled. I know. I thought that was a cute trick until she started insisting on it.) This really isn't out of the norm, as anyone who has a cat knows. But my little kitty, she made sure I was up. She did that by taking ONE claw, and hooking it in my nostril. Not ever enough to puncture the skin, or even hurt, but just hard enough that I would wake up stock still. Once my eyes were open, she'd meow at me and jump off the bed. If I failed to get up, she would just come back and do it again, with a little more pressure. She was very effective at waking me up so I could meet her needs. If only I could set her to wake me up at specific times. I'd never need an alarm clock.
Seems like a great book. Please count me in to win.

My siamese cat Sammy is such a baby. He is not only the most vocal cat I have ever had. But he thinks he is the baby of the house. Everyday while I am trying to take care of my 18month old daughter. He follows me around the house thinking I should be taking care of him. Petting him, Carrying him in the baby sling instead of the baby. But I love him so. It's like I'm raising two babies at once.

I am a huge fan of cats, they are my favorite animals, even if mine is evil! I would love to win!
I am not sure if it is funny...but my cat loves boxes. Whenever I get a package she runs for it and swiftly jumps in and she will not get out. You can tip the box upside down and she won't ever leave her "home".
hmm funny story... lets see..only one I can think of was when the neighbors cats were jumping around playing on the lawn, they looked like they were playing lep frog and kept going over and under eachother, it was funny to see, just had to be there!

My cat Lucy is so funny!
When she drinks her water, she dips her paw in it and gets the water off of it!
Our new kitten likes to climb. Us. He climbed my husband while he was shaving. He had no shirt on. Those little claws hurt! heh heh
thanks

My cat is so like a human. She snores loudly when she sleeps and somehow finds a way to get under the covers. If she sees that you are lying on your back, she does the same. JD

So I have a cat who LOVES peanut butter. How this deep love developed, I'll never know. She can be on the other side of the house, and if I open the peanut butter in the kitchen, she dashes in and then sits at my feet, looking up at me with pitiful eyes until I give her a little bite!
What do you MEAN most people aren't cat lovers? How can you not be? They're so sweet and cute and hilarious and loyal and entertaining and ....
Did I mention hilarious?
We have two cats right now, one of whom is ummm... somewhat portly. Said portly cat decided he wanted to join me and the slim and trim cat on the bed on night. I discovered this as he leapt up. I saw one paw on the mattress, but that was it. He pulled the comforter with him off the bed as he piteously meowed until he plopped again on the ground. At that point, he decided he never wanted to be up there anyway, calmly started grooming himself, then walked out of the room - head held high.
We have 2 cats are both are CRAZY! They refuse to drink water out of a bowl, only from the faucet. The youngest, Jack (kitten), dips his head under the faucet and lets it roll off his nose onto his tongue- which cracks me up!
Definately would like a chance to win this-looks great (and I think most people are cat-lovers--almost everyone I know is:) )

Funny story about our cats would be how they usually wake us up to feed them if we sleep in. :)

Oh my little Kingston. Hence, the name, because he came home from the shelter, ran to my bed, plopped on my pillow and fell asleep! All hail the king!
He is definitely adorable! I had to give him a home when I saw him, the poor baby is cross eyed! Well, now he's home, ruling the house! He even has a water fountain because of his addiction to running water! Oh well, I love him!
A cat story... We had this cat when I was growing up. Jinx, black cat, about 22 lbs. She would always go to the fridge and meow until you opened it. She wanted turkey. So you would have to let her smell the turkey. If it wasn't fresh enough for her she would snub you and turn around and walk away. Man I miss her.
Oh I would really love this book. I love cats.

Your header is just adorable. As a lifelong cat lover and owner...I don't know how you can't love those fur babies. I even converted the hubs!
One of our cats hitched a ride home with my Dad, unbeknownst to him. The cat spent the night in his van. He went to hop in his van the next morning and "Calvin" was sleeping on the steering wheel. Go Figure! Looks like a cute book.

My cats have figured out how to open my kitchen cabinets so I have to the childsafe locks on them now. But when they first started doing it they used to give my DH and I quite a scare when they would suddenly leap out of the cabinets

I would SOOO love to win this book!!
My cat meows at the bathroom sink as he wants you to turn the faucet on so he can drink out of it :)
I once found an abandoned kitten. She was so tiny she slept in my shirt pocket. I carried her around all day every day in my pocket. She soon outgrew that and began to get into all sorts of trouble. Her favorite was hiding under my parents bed and jumping out at them when they made it each morning.

Whoever Michelle is she should win because her cat story is funny and you can tell she really "gets" it with cats! My funny story is that I have a Mensa Cat that we recently adopted. He is so smart he can open all the doors in our home...INCLUDING the garage door because they are lever handles so he just jumps up and hangs from the handle until he finally gets it open. He is not afraid to jump up and make the handle go kathunka thunk thunk as many times as he needs to to finally get himself where ever it is he needs to go be it the study, garage, or our bedroom at the crack of dawn!
