Five for Fighting "Slice" Review

After "100 Years" and "Superman," Five for Fighting have compiled another amazing array of songs on their new album, "Slice." Singer/Songwriter John Ondrasik keeps his songs full of emotions and feelings. Five for Fighting's fifth album, "Slice" was inspired by personal stories and tragedies of friends, family and servicemen around the world. The events of 9/11, which hold a special place with Ondrasik, contributed to the meanings behind the song, "Tuesday."

Academy Award-winning composer, Steve Schwartz helped co-write 2 songs on "Slice," who has been a fan of Five for Fighting ever since "Superman." Schwartz's credits include composing songs for musicals such as Wicked, Godspell and Pippin.

I have always been a big fan of Five for Fighting. I am one who listens to music without actually listening to the words. However, most of the songs on this album changed the way I hear the songs. I actually understood the meanings behind the songs and felt what Ondrasik was saying.

If you enjoy Five for Fighting's music, then the album "Slice" is sure to please! You can find out more about their new album at the following websites:
