Lots to Learn DVD Review

Most of you know I have a 2 1/2 yr old son. He is such an amazing kid that is full of energy and all little boy. I am a big fan of reading to children as most of you know as well, but it is so hard with him because he is always on the go. Therefore, when I was asked to review an Award Winning Educational Video called Lots to Learn: Head to Toe with Buster I jumped at the chance. These videos are designed for preschoolers age 2-5, just the right age for my little guy.

Let me tell you, this video has been a Godsend! My son was intrigued with this video from the moment I put it into the DVD player. It is action packed with tons of fun activities for him to participate in. It gave him a chance to interact with the video while learning things such as how to tie his shoes, parts of his body and fun children's songs. I had no idea how much he would enjoy a video like this. I felt kind of bad that I had never tried something like this before.

I have seen other videos that were designed for children, but this one actually held my sons attention throughout the entire video. He would run to the screen and point out the colors when they asked or try to show me where the sock was "hiding". It was so cute. The best part was when he started singing along to "Where is Thumbkin" and doing the hand gestures. I was so proud of him! He did things during this video that I didn't even know he could do. Hey what can I say, I'm Clueless, remember.

There are five
Lots to Learn videos available:

Lots to Learn: Nature
Lots to Learn: In My House
Lots to Learn: Buster's Favorite Animals
Lots to Learn: Buster Loves Music
Lots to Learn: Head to Toe with Buster

Creative Child Magazine awarded the video I reviewed 2009 Video of the Year! I have to say, I think that was a good choice. I enjoyed watching it with my son as much as he did. One small concern I wanted to point out, is in one segment(involving toothbrushes) the colors were not as vibrant as I would have liked them to be. It is definitely not enough to deter me in any way from being a huge fan of this video, but worth pointing out. As a mom it is great to know you are providing your child with a great learning tool while allowing them to have fun as well. Check out the
Lots to Learn Video Series. It can be purchased at Lotstolearn.com or Amazon.com. It gets two thumbs up from me.

*I was given no form of compensation for this review, other than the DVD for the review. All the opinions expressed here are my own.

That looks cute. When Kristen was little we got a lot of the Baby Einstein dvd's, she loved them (and I did too). She still has them, doesn't watch them as much these days but every once in a while she'll put one on in her room when she goes to bed.
